The DigiLing project, which served as a foundation for the new joint programme in Digital Linguistics, was awarded the Apple of Quality 2020 for its outstanding impact on higher education, students, teachers and other stakeholders beyond the scope of the project.

DigiLing and the new Master’s Degree in Digital Linguistics were presented at this year’s Translating Europe Forum 2020, where the topic was how to teach translation technology and what new skills will future graduates need. See a recording here!

On 16th September 2019, Špela Vintar presented DigiLing to the coordinators of new Erasmus+ projects. DigiLing was selected as an example of best practice because of the quality, long-term impact and sustainability of its results.

With 24 enthusiastic students and 14 distinguished lecturers from all 6 partner institutions, the DigiLing summer school (17-22 June) hosted by Charles University produced the first generation of prospective digital linguists.

We are collecting applications for the DigiLing summer school taking place 17-22 June 2019 in Prague! Each partner university is inviting 4 student participants with full funding. If you are a student at one of the partner universities please contact the project representative at your institution. A detailed programme will be announced shortly.

Our courses were publicly presented on 29 August 2018 at the “Languages Go Digital” workshop, which was organised as a satellite workshop of the ITMed18 Summer School. Our learning platform now has numerous new users!

We’re happy to announce that the DigiLing e-learning platform has been set up at learn.digiling.eu, proudly powered by Moodle. Currently all courses there are still under construction.
